From leading Arizona’s largest non-profit agency serving the homeless to helping clients lobby for tens of millions of dollars in state and federal funding, I have spent the last 30 years in service to complex organizations, communities, and Arizonans in need. My focus is on elevating your organization and helping you face and conquer the challenges that keep you up at night.
My career experiences include:
- Earning my Juris Doctor degree from the James E. Rogers College of Law in Tucson. My legal training led me to work in the nonprofit and government sectors, including serving on former Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano’s Executive team.
- Consulting focused on fundraising, resource and sustainability development, strategic planning, program and leadership development, facilitation, partnership building, and interim executive services. Representative clients include: AARP, the Arizona Alzheimer’s Association, the Arizona Autism Charter Schools, the Arizona Meth Project, the Children’s Museum of Phoenix, Family Promise, Homeward Bound, Mission of Mercy, the Quality Education and Jobs Campaign 2012, Raising Special Kids, Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, Southwest Shakespeare Company, United Cerebral Palsy of Central Arizona, the World Academy for the Future of Women, and Yavapai Big Brothers, Big Sisters.
- Working for seven years as the CEO of our state’s most prominent and longest-serving homeless agency, where I raised millions in funding, expanded services and community impact, and turned around an organization in need of an operational overhaul. I also led Arizona's largest autism agency and doubled its budget and impact with new programs.
- Securing tens of millions in resources for various social and political causes. I have successfully lobbied for state budget appropriations, secured Congressional earmarks, conducted capital campaigns, and built strong individual giving programs. I have facilitated dozens of strategic and state policy plans, built public/private partnerships and collaborations, helped develop community solutions, and facilitated large groups to reach consensus on complex social policy issues.
